Becoming a Love and Logic Parent

Caldwell School District is offering a Free Parenting class at Wilson Elementary.
 
It will be taught by the most talented lady - Kathleen Curtis, our very own Wilson School Counselar.
 
Starts Sept 20th and is every Thursday from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. for 6 weeks.
 
Call the School District office at 455-3300 to sign up and register.

(There is a $5 workbook fee and Free babysitting for your kids)

March 9th 2012 is Carnival Time!!
This year the theme is Dr. Seuss! We are currently looking for donations of merchandise, services and/or gift certificates to be used in our raffle drawings. Your donation will help our school raise funds that will be used for additional classroom supplies, field trips and other items that greatly enhance our children's educational experiences.
In return for your generosity, your business will be acknowledged on a poster displayed at the event, in our school newsletter following the even, on our facebook page and here on our blog!! A donation to this event is an excellent opportunity to reach hundreds of families while supporting education in our community. This is a tax write off for you as well as a business owner!

Where does Cotton Candy money go?

Last week Mrs. Lohse and Mrs. Rimby were able to take their classes to Linder Farms!

The only picking rule was "only pick a pumpkin you can carry"!

Fun Facts About The Pumpkin!
1. Pumpkins contain potassium and Vitamin A.
2. Pumpkin flowers are edible.
3. The largest pumpkin pie ever made was over five feet in diameter and weighed over 350 pounds. It used 80 pounds of cooked pumpkin, 36 pounds of sugar, 12 dozen eggs and took six hours to bake.
4. In early colonial times, pumpkins were used as an ingredient for the crust of pies, not the filling.
5. Pumpkins were once recommended for removing freckles and curing snake bites.
6. The largest pumpkin ever grown weighed 1,140 pounds.

Wilson Elementary rocked HOMECOMING WEEK!!!
It was a great week watching all the students get creative with each days theme!!
All week the halls were filled with Silly Socks, Crazy Hair, Mismatched Shoes, Bling.....

and most importantly BLUE AND GOLD!!!!


All these future Cougars had a fantastic time cheering on CHS!!!
